  1. Install the connector

    Add the PetMySite connector from your WordPress administration area, then open its settings page to begin. Get it on WordPress.org

  2. Connect the website

    Sign in to PetMySite, choose or create the matching website, then return to WordPress with a site-specific connection.

  3. Load the hosted runtime

    A connected site loads the asynchronous PetMySite runtime on the public site. WordPress does not rebuild the pet renderer or billing flow.

One runtime, without a WordPress detour for every visitor.

After connection, the browser loads the PetMySite runtime and its edge-cached public configuration. A normal visitor request does not need WordPress PHP to call PetMySite for launcher data.

The connector remains responsible for WordPress-native settings, connection status, reconnecting, disconnecting, and diagnostics.

The connector depends on PetMySite’s hosted service. That dependency is part of how it stays small and keeps runtime updates consistent.

Does the connector use an external service?

Yes. It connects a WordPress website to PetMySite and loads the PetMySite runtime and public site configuration when the launcher is enabled.

What does WordPress send during connection?

Connection uses the website address and a short-lived, site-specific authorization flow. PetMySite account passwords, Google credentials, and payment credentials are not stored in WordPress.

Does it track WordPress visitors?

PetMySite records only aggregate launcher events. It does not collect visitor identity, chat content, full visitor page URLs, or cookies for widget analytics.

Will it work with page builders?

The launcher loads independently of WordPress page content. The optional shortcode is intended for builders that render standard WordPress shortcodes.
